🎙 AIM Episode 39 – Speaking Sessions With Philip Sessions
🎙Philip grew up in Texas and moved to South Carolina over 8 years ago. He got married to his lovely wife over 3 years ago and welcomed his first child about a year and a half ago. Having a degree in electrical engineering, he has a background in working with nerdy, data-driven individuals. However, his passion for public speaking developed during his time at BMW manufacturing, where he helped with leadership and professional development. This led him to help small business owners, especially in the trades industry, as they struggle to transfer their knowledge and speak to teams effectively. His ultimate goal is creating a butterfly effect by helping others learn to speak and influence and persuade people positively.
On this episode of The Winners Paradigm, we hear from two speakers, Alundas Havens and Philip, as they discuss the importance of community, vulnerability, and sharing personal stories. Alundas stresses the need for finding a supportive group that motivates and empowers each other, citing his own experiences with the Dad's Edge community. Philip emphasizes the significance of taking care of oneself physically and mentally to be a solid foundation for family and work life. The two speakers also touch upon the importance of networking, finding a niche in business, and confidently sharing one's own journey. “Why Sharing Your Story Is Important: "Well, facts tell and stories sell… It allows people to get to know and like you more, which builds up that trust as well… you understand where I'm at. And if you can understand where I'm at, but you're further ahead of where I'm at, and you're where I want to be. It lets me know that you can help bridge this gap… share your story as well, because that is what will distinguish you from me."
