Michael Harris the author of the #1 bestselling book, “Falling Down Getting UP." The first part of the book is all about a near fatal waterskiing accident, addictions and predictions that he would die from vascular disease at 27 years old. The second part of the book is how walking, food and yoga turned it all around to keep him alive and kicking.
Michael and I talk about how he rehabbed from a life threatening injury at a young age. We dove into finding out how to maneuver and how to show up every day.
How to find ways to bounce back after injury
How to connect with your audience
How to put your health first
How to show up first
How to do the work
“There was one day I had had enough, you know, I was 30 years old. I had gone on on one more drinking binge. And I had just, I had had enough and a friend of mine came to me and he says, are you ready to give it up?
And it was just like, yes. And I knew at that. I mean, I made that decision. So there's a decision involved. For me, I had to make that decision to change my life, and from that moment on in 1988, everything was different. I knew it was gonna be different. So the first thing is make a decision. The second thing, again, this comes back to the law of attraction.
If you make a decision, you can't just make a decision. You actually have to act. You have to do something regardless of, of what that is, whether it's seeking outside help, whether it's walking down the street, whether it's going to the gym, whether it's doing yoga, whether it's writing down what you vision for your life” – Michael Harris
