“Hey, you know what? What’s your issue with this? Or Is there anything in this that you don’t feel comfortable with? And you tell me, well, now I know. I’m really in the negotiation at that point. Once I get to know that’s when closing starts, until you get to know that’s not closing, you’re still in the presentation. So, like I said, there’s so many different little angles you can go at it. It’s knowing your audience, finding their pain point, asking for the sale, which most people don’t do. And then after they say no for the first time, reframing it, asking again. And then if they say no, okay, cool. Is it a timing thing? Is it a money thing? Is that you need to talk to someone else? But when you ask that one, this is the key. When you ask someone about if they need to talk to someone else, don’t cut them down. So say maybe they’re in the It department or office manager. I always like this. Hi, London. Here’s the thing. I work with the team as well. Do you need to go talk with someone on your team about this project that gives them empowerment, makes them feel good and strong? Don’t be the dick. They go and say, hey, you got to go talk to your boss so you can’t make this decision.” – Joe Graham
